What is the Scoop on Smoking and Hypnosis?

It’s a fact that at any one time 40% of the smoking population are trying to quit!

Many of these people, who like you, want to stop smoking have tried virtually all other methods available, including: willpower (cold turkey); patches; gum; lozenges; Zyban; acupuncture and more…

Often hypnosis is a last resort unless of course you are fortunate enough to have it recommended by a friend or relative who has stopped smoking this way. In fact, the vast majority of clients who I have successfully stopped smoking in ONE session, or by use of my Stop Smoking CD, have come to me this way. Hypnosis stop smoking programs can be highly effective for those with a serious desire and ambition to quit smoking cigarettes.

Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a very normal, natural state that most of us experience every day. Hypnosis is a safe and effective tool of the mind that you control and guide through the power of positive thought and relaxation. Hypnosis is a very pleasant feeling of complete physical and mental relaxation. Hypnosis works with the will, not against it. Because it does not involve medicine or nicotine supplements, it is one of the healthiest ways to quit smoking.

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnosis is uniquely effective in programming the mind to overcome the addiction to cigarettes and nicotine in a safe and natural way, free of any harmful side effects. Smoking is a habit that can be effectively treated with hypnosis. These powerful Hypnosis sessions and CDs address the issues attached to the habit of smoking. They allow you to reduce and lose the desire to smoke, making the craving lessen and the decision to smoke something you simply “Forget to remember”.
Unlike traditional therapies, Hypnosis is able to help you reach your goals without going through years of self-exploration. The hypnotist will suggest a variety of phrases that help to reduce the patient’s cravings and reliance on cigarettes. Patients feel less stress and are therefore less likely to use cigarettes as a means to reduce stress throughout the day.

Health

An integrative approach is more effective than any single technique: Therefore, a comprehensive stop smoking program, you should receive a combination of scientific information, support for a healthy lifestyle without weight gain or substituting destructive behaviors, aversive suggestions, deep positive hypnotic suggestions, self hypnosis strategies, behavioral exercises, binaural beat and sympathetic brain wave music technology, and stress management techniques. We know that there is no price high enough for the feeling of well-being provided by excellent health. Smoking cessation programs enable people to live a healthier lifestyle.

Cigarettes and Money

You do the math: Given just what you spend on cigarettes each month, how long will it take to recoup this invaluable investment in yourself to give up smoking forever? Your decision to stop smoking will without a doubt put more money in your pocket, improve your appearance, increase your strength and will power, and improve your self-esteem. If you doubt that, just think about the amount of money spent on advertising? Imagine the money you will save! The average annual savings a smoker saves is $1200!!

You’ll save enough money to take extra vacations, buy a flat screen TV, or just save for early retirement. After you are a non-smoker for one month, you begin to save the money that you used to throw out on cigarettes. With the money you save, you can use the money for something good.

Do yourself a favour and learn how to quit smoking cigarettes today. Not until the day you stop smoking do you realize that we live in a world of cigarettes, sucking our health and wallets dry.

At the End of Your Diet Rope? Try Hypnosis!

Do you feel you have tried EVERYTHING to lose weight but still seem to be over weight? BELIEVE me you are not alone! One-third of adults in America are obese (or what they call obese) Maybe it’s time to look at Hypnosis?

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off. Researchers analyzed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended. University of Connecticut, Storrs Allison DB, Faith MS. Hypnosis as an adjunct to cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy for obesity: a meta-analytic reappraisal. J Consult Clin Psychol. 1996;64(3):513-516.

You may have heard on one of you local radio stations that a hypnotist was coming to your town and you can lose weight and/or quit smoking. All for a bargain price of $50-$100. But does it work? My answer to that is, sometimes. That is what we call “one shot” hypnosis. The hypnotist may get to you to hate sweets, or chips or whatever your “vice” may be. But as most of you know, there’s more to why you or your loved one is obese. It may be lack of motivation, boredom, death (grieving/bereavement), and much more. So how do you think you can solve the weight problem with ONE session? Like I said it works for some, but not for most.

So try clinical hypnosis, with one-on-one sessions. We have found that our clients see a great success with this approach. But if you want to “try” hypnosis, most clinics offer free screenings where you can see for yourself.

It’s painless and side-effect free, so why not give it a try?

Hypnosis can more than double the effects of traditional weight loss approaches.

An analysis of five weight loss studies reported in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 1996 showed that the “… weight loss reported in the five studies indicates that hypnosis can more than double the effects” of traditional weight loss approaches. University of Connecticut, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 1996 (Vol. 64, No. 3, pgs 517-519).
